Privacy Policy

ReviewLine is a web dashboard and iPhone app by Halifax Water Co. that helps business owners reply to their Google reviews. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. We do not sell your data, show ads, or track you across other apps and websites.

Information we collect

• Account details. When you sign in with Google (or Apple in the iPhone app) we receive your name and email address (or Apple's private relay address).
• Google access. When you connect Google on the web dashboard, Google gives us a token that lets ReviewLine read your Business Profile reviews and post the replies you approve. We store it encrypted and use it only for that.
• Business information. The Google Business Profile location you connect, its reviews (reviewer display name, rating, text and dates), the replies on them, and the drafts and replies you approve.
• Your writing style. The style choices, practice replies, example replies and management contact email you provide so drafts sound like you.
• Device token. If you allow notifications, an Apple push token so we can alert you about new reviews.
• Purchases. On the web, payments are handled by Stripe; we receive your plan, subscription status and a Stripe customer ID. In the iPhone app, purchases are handled by Apple and RevenueCat. We never see your payment card details.
• Sign-in sessions. A cookie that keeps you signed in to the web dashboard. It isn't used for tracking.
• Beta sign-ups. If you join the beta on reviewline.co, we collect your name, business name and email to contact you about the beta.

How we use it

• To show your reviews and post the replies you approve.
• To generate suggested replies. The review text, star rating, reviewer display name and your style settings are sent from our server to an AI model (Anthropic Claude) only to write a draft. Anthropic does not use this data to train its models.
• To check for new reviews about once an hour and draft a reply to each new one.
• To send one notification or email per new review. You can turn email alerts off in Settings.
• To manage your subscription.
• To provide support and keep the service secure.

Service providers

We rely on Google (sign-in and Business Profile), Cloudflare (hosting and data storage), Anthropic (reply drafts), Stripe (web payments), an email delivery provider (review alerts), Apple and RevenueCat (iPhone app sign-in, notifications and payments) and Netlify (our websites and beta sign-ups). Each processes data only to provide its service to us. Our public web pages (the reviewline.co home page and halifaxwaterco.com) use Google Analytics to count visits; the ReviewLine dashboard and app do not.

Storage and retention

For web dashboard accounts, our servers store your account details, encrypted Google access token, connected location, its reviews and replies, your drafts, your voice and style settings, alert preference and subscription status. For the iPhone app, most data stays on your device and our server keeps only your account ID, device tokens, linked locations, notification preference and short-lived usage counts that limit AI requests. We keep data until you delete your account.

Deleting your data

On the web dashboard, open Settings and choose Delete account. This disconnects Google, cancels any web subscription and permanently removes your data from our servers. In the iPhone app, tap the gear icon, then Delete account; App Store subscriptions are cancelled in your Apple ID settings. You can also remove ReviewLine's access anytime at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Replies already posted stay on Google. To remove a beta sign-up, email us.

Google user data

ReviewLine's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We use Google Business Profile data only to show your reviews, draft replies and post the replies you approve. Review text is sent to Anthropic only to write a draft. We don't sell Google user data, use it for advertising, or transfer it to others except as needed to provide the service.

Children

ReviewLine is intended for business owners and is not directed at children under 13.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date above and, for significant changes, let you know by email or in ReviewLine.
